The sensor is a magical thing, it has a lot of uses, so it contributes a lot. So, today we are mainly introducing the PT100 temperature sensor. What kind of baby is it? Let's wait and see.
What are the measurement methods of PT100 temperature sensor?
How to simply judge whether the PT100 temperature sensor is damaged?
What is the principle of PT100 temperature sensor?
Constant current and constant voltage method
In traditional instruments and meters, this method is generally used. After the constant current or constant voltage method is constructed, the resistance value of the PT100 temperature sensor is calculated by using Ohm's law, and then the index table is queried to obtain the temperature. This method is the simplest and most general.
Universal Sensor Interface UTI Method
Although the traditional method is simple, it has many shortcomings. Using the general sensor interface chip, only a reference resistor that is not sensitive to temperature is needed. Connect the PT100 temperature sensor to the UTI circuit, and the ratio of the PT100 temperature sensor and the reference resistor can be obtained through the MCU, thereby obtaining the resistance value and temperature. This method is very suitable for microprocessor-based (MCU)-based systems. All the information of the UTI is output only through a MCU-compatible signal, which greatly reduces the external wiring and couplers between discrete modules.
PT100 temperature sensor is the most widely used temperature measuring element in the field of hydraulic testing. In practical applications, it is often encountered that the temperature cannot be measured. At this time, how can we quickly judge whether the PT100 temperature sensor is damaged?
Under normal circumstances, there are 3 wires at the output end of the PT100 temperature sensor, two of which are connected, and there is a resistance value of 110Ω between the other and these two wires. Therefore, if two of the wires are connected through a multimeter, and the resistance between one of the three wires and the other two is about 110Ω, then the PT100 temperature sensor is basically normal.
The principle of PT100 temperature sensor:
PT100 temperature sensor is mainly a thermocouple or thermal resistance, and the signal converter is mainly composed of measurement unit, signal processing and conversion unit (because the industrial thermal resistance and thermocouple scale are standardized, the signal converter is also used as an independent product. called transmitter), some transmitters have added display units, and some also have fieldbus function.
It will change the resistance value with the rise of temperature. If it rises along with it, it is called positive resistivity, and if it decreases with the increase of temperature, it is called negative resistivity. Most of the resistance temperature sensors are resistance temperature detectors made of Pt), which are the most stable - acid and alkali resistant, will not deteriorate, quite linear, and are most used by the industry.
